Comcast Cares Day volunteers
SAMMAMISH VALLEY, Oct. 18, 2006 – In Woodinville, more than 200 volunteers from Comcast’s Everett Call Center worked on October 7 to revitalize the grounds at 21 Acres. The volunteers harvested, weeded, planted, constructed raised garden beds, spread mulch on trails and cleaned ditches. Volunteers donated a total of 1,600 hours of volunteer time or the equivalent of $240,000 worth of labor to help 21 Acres.
Comcast Cares Day is one of the nation’s largest corporate days of community service. More than 1,500 volunteers worked on 15 projects across Washington State and 30,000 volunteers worked across the country on Oct. 7.
