Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme - Garden Open House Demonstrates an Experience for All the Senses
garden open house
Satisfy all your senses and enjoy a direct experience with the soil at the 21 Acres Community Garden Open House, Saturday, April 5, 2008. Visit, meander, and interact with experienced gardeners who will be in their gardens from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. preparing for the spring season. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener, or just discovering the soil, satisfy your curiosity of the Sammamish Valley and enjoy this direct experience with a local food source. See, smell, feel and taste. Make a connection with your food, who grows it, and how it is grown.
The public is invited, at no charge, to see gardeners in action. Some topics that will be demonstrated are:
- Soil preparation for spring planting
- Edible plants
- Low maintenance food crops
- Native plants
- Composting and worm bins
A garden grows in rain and shine, and the Community Gardeners tend their crops no matter the weather. 21 Acres is located at 13701 NE 171st Street, Woodinville, WA 98072.
