Orchard Seminar - Grafting
FREE Class on Tree Fruit Grafting
Ever wonder how to increase the yields of your fruit trees, repair damaged trees, or grow delicious fruit in an urban setting? Would you like to plant some fruit trees of your own, but don't have the first idea of what varieties grow well in this region? Is it possible to grow multiple types of apples on one tree? What does it mean to graft a "scion" onto a "stock" and how is it done?
If you are searching for answers to any of these questions, or if you would just like to learn more about grafting tree fruit, you are cordially invited to learn from one of our area's most knowledgeable and accessible tree fruit experts, Greg Giuliani of the Seattle Tree Fruit Society. Mr. Giuliani will be at 21 Acres on Saturday, March 10th, at 2:00 p.m. to demonstrate grafting methods and to give community members invaluable tips on successfully growing tree fruit in the Puget Sound Region.
Attendance to this informal, informative, and intimate class is free, but space is limited. Please RSVP at generalinfo@21Acres.org or call Clayton Burrows at (206) 719-0056. Depending upon the weather, the class will either be taught outdoors or in our greenhouse. All you have to do is show up!
The Seattle Tree Fruit Society is composed of home orchard enthusiasts from the greater Seattle region (and surrounding areas) who share a strong interest in growing, maintaining, and eating fruits and berries and nuts. The society specializes in growing tree fruit but also grows a wide variety of other bush and vine fruits.
