Eastside Goes Green with GreenDrinks

The first monthly event of the newly reorganized Eastside Chapter of the international environmental networking organization called GreenDrinks has been scheduled for June 17^th at Kirkland-based PACE Engineering from 5 to 8pm.  This event is the result of many months of planning and the efforts of several volunteers.

A new website under development at www.EastsideGreenDrinks.org contains details about the organizations Eastside events, allows for registration and a link to sign up for email updates.

There are plans to offer free beer, wine and munchies at the Eastside GreenDrinks events.  Everyone (over 21) who is works in the environmental field or is interested in networking with others who are dedicated to a green lifestyle are welcome.  Invite a friend and make sure you are there.

Initial sponsors include Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, the Network for Business Innovation and Sustainability, and Eastside Business and Eastside Life newspapers and online news sites.  Additional corporate sponsors and individual volunteers, as well as hosts for future Eastside GreenDrinks events are being sought.  Everyone and every  business is encouraged to join in and we especially would like to see our media friends cover this event and help us spread the good word about this great organization.
