21 Acres Community Gardener, Dan Henderson, recently discovered his ancestors were possibly the original homesteaders of the 21 Acres property. Dan's great great grandfather, Arthur Llewellen Calkins, purchased 160 acres betwe 1878 and 1880 for ten whole dollars! He deeded it to his son, TL Calkins (Theodore) in 1928.
